"The following takes place between midnight and 1.00 A.M., on the day of California Presidential Primary.
Events occur in real time."
Il senatore Palmer è il primo afroamericano ad avere una concreta possibilità di diventare presidente degli USA, but the threat of an attack on the day of presidential primaries in California falls on his head. In his private life is a shadow into which his family had "protected" or kept in the dark too long, and now all this is likely to turn against their loved ones and against his career. Planes exploding, plot twists, false certainties, espionage and daring escapes and the constant feeling of never being out of danger are the main characteristics of this well-structured and full-bodied fiction. I read somewhere that it was to big hits but not hide, I was disappointed. I have not seen more than half of the first set but no matter how compelling and engaging can not drag like other series. The gimmick of the story in real time is a double edged sword: so brilliant as deleterious. The series limps to this overlapping of events unclear and cumbersome, which helps the suspense but degrades each plot. Prodigious technique and modernism in the great director (the first real use of "interactive frames, overlapping scenes, cuts and camera movements tight ...) make it an excellent research subject for the experts but, again, I leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
